Summer 2005:
It is now official: I'm a QuicKutz-addict. Initially started with a blue handtool
and a few shapes, but always hungry for more...
Fall 2005:
The search for certain shapes becomes part of my daily routine. I get all worked
up when I get emails from shops saying the dies I was looking for for quite
a while not in stock after all. There has to be another way... and with this
thought, the concept of Scrapware is finally there.
Spring 2006:
All the plans for Scrapware have now been crystallized. Selling nothing but
QuicKutz, and making sure their entire production-line is in stock for instant
shipment. This is how we would like to be known for in the Netherlands. The
next step is to get enough stock in.
Summer 2006:
Despite the fact that I'm 6 months pregnant, we decide to launch the site anyway.
Shortly after we open our internet-shop we have a pretty good reputation in
the Netherlands when it comes to prompt shipping and pre- and after sales service.
Fall 2006:
Not long after the "Scrapware-baby"(for the insiders :o)) has been
born, we are full speed ahead again. Due to numerous requests for demo's, questions
about whether we also have a shop etc, the thought of staring a brick-and-mortar
shop as well becomes more prominent. Due to the fact that business is booming,
I often need someone to help me out with the shop.
Spring 2007:
We have found a nice little shop and have our Grand Opening on the 7th of April.
It was a great day with lots of happy customers. Thanks!
Scrapware - Scrapbookshop for QuicKutz... and more:
Selling QuicKutz will still be our core business, but we also have all sorts
of other scrapbooking materials in the shop itself. As we have only just started
doing this, the selection will only grow over the next couple of months. Check
our message board to keep updated on the new products we have in the shop. Although
we now have many more products than just QK, the internet shop will remain a
QuicKutz-only shop for another while.
And the future will bring:
We will try and start our first workshop-programme before the summer. These
will mainly be aimed at beginners. After the summer holidays, we will also launch
a workshop-programme for the more advanced scrapbooker. A non-QK-products section
will be added to the website in a couple of months time.
